After a weekend getting to know the city where we are serving, we are looking forward to the start of Vacation Bible School on Monday. Montreal is a city of 4 million where less than 1% would identify themselves as Christian. Today we had the opportunity to worship with a small French-speaking church (we essentially doubled the size of the congregation.) The emphasis of the sermon was on faith – faith in our great God who can accomplish great things with a single word, whether it is creating the world or healing someone who is sick. We serve a great God and we look forward to what He is going to do this week.

Our mission team to Montreal arrived safely Friday evening after two long days of travel by car from Minnesota to Montreal. Our missionaries Adam and Michelle Morgan and their boys also safely returned from a missions conference in Estonia. We hope to spend some time with them this weekend as we prepare for the start of Vacation Bible School on Monday. Please pray for strength and recovery from our travels as we look forward to what God is going to do in Montreal!

On August 1, our team leaves for Montreal Canada. After two long days of travel by car, we will spend the weekend with missionaries Adam and Michelle Morgan before beginning our week of ministry on Monday August 5. Our team members, from left to right, are David Henry, Glenna and Roy MaKosky, Matt, Wendy and Christian Scheckel, and Kathy, Matthew, Nathan and Tom Bergquist.

Here are some prayer requests for our trip. Pray for: Team bonding, Health and safe travel for the team, Health and safe travel also for Adam and Michelle Morgan and their boys as they return from a missions conference in Europe. Also pray for the kids who are coming to our VBS and that they would be open to the gospel and that we would be the hands and feet of Christ to them and their families.
